The White German Shepherd Dog Fanciers (WGSDF) was formed in January 1997 by a group
of people devoted to the protection and advancement of the German Shepherd Dog with a
white coat color.
The color white is one of the original colors of the German Shepherd Dog breed. The
developer of our breed, Max Von Stephanitz, owned several White German Shepherd Dogs. As a
matter of fact, one of the first German Shepherds imported into the United States carried
the gene that produces the white coat color. |
